Work Incentives Counselor
Claremont, NH

At the direction for the Vocational Coordinator, the Work Incentives Counselor will Work, as a member of the Supported Employment Team, serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

The Work Incentives Counselor will be responsible for counseling and educating beneficiaries about how employment will affect their current benefits ( which may include public and private health insurance, federal, state, and/or local benefits received) so that individuals may make informed choices towards employment and self-sufficiency.

Essential Job Functions: (partial listing)

  • Assists clients in obtaining information about their benefits and how employment impacts benefits
  • Develops individualized benefits summary, analysis reports, work incentive plans and other correspondence
  • Deliver follow along support services to assist beneficiaries in managing their benefits, report income and access available work incentives

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Human Services field or business field or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform duties of the position
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license and personal automobile insurance
  • Must have reliable transportation
